Jays finish with 41-17 2008 Campaign The Jays completed their season with their first ever appearance at the Grand Forks International Tournament, regarded as one of the top amateur baseball tournaments in North America. With a tough round robin draw, the Jays won their first game against Prince George, and would lose their final two to the tournaments two finalist, the Seattle Studs (Runner up at 2008 NBC World Series) and Lewiston Truckers (2008 NAIA College World Series Champions). Overall it was another successful year for the organization, with several new players contributing, and veteran guys keeping form. The club is currently planning for their 2009 season which will feature the club potentially joining a new semi-professional schedule running from Mid-May through September. See you in May!! ------ Jays Management 2009 Canada Day Baseball Blast 2009 Additions: Thursday June 25th, 2009 to July 1st, 2009 16 Teams: $10000 in prize money $4000 to 1st With the Canada Day Holiday falling on a Wednesday in 2009 we will be adding an extra day to accommidate an extra 4 teams. Any teams interested are to contact the Kelowna Jays Immediately. For teams not available to travel for the extra day, your schedule will be compacted into two games one of your round robin days.
